Abu's new Elephant Villa has been designed and built as a separate, private unit on the opposite side of the lagoon from Abu Camp. It boasts two large bedrooms with en suite facilities and a spacious sitting room - all on a raised teak deck beneath shady trees. For those looking for the ultimate in bush luxury and exclusivity, Abu Private Villa is situated across the lagoon - a short five-minute drive away. This villa can accommodate four guests or a family with children. Please note that Elephant Back safaris are not available from the Private Villa. The dining / bar areas are on raised wooden decks that wind around African Ebony and Sycamore Fig trees. The lounge and dining tent has beautiful big sofas, with a breathtaking view over the lagoon and also features a well-stocked library and a study. Abu Camp – Our ViewThere is little doubt that as far as elephant experiences go Abu is certainly up there with the best of them. However having been to Abu as well as Stanleys and Baines (which also a great elephant experience in the Okavango) there is certainly a big difference in the product. Abu is much more of an elephant ride excursion than it is a real learning experience about elephants. Overall though the camp is superb and no-one can argue that it is simply fabulous to share the African Wilderness on the back of the real King of the Jungle! We think Abu is absolutely splendid…..just wish it was a little less expensive!!!! CLICK HERE TO ENTER OUR MAIN SITE
