Savuti Camp – The Facts7 luxurious ensuite tents. Walking safaris and night drives possible.Hides in place for fantastic game viewing. Swimming pool.Savuti Camp - The DetailThe Linaynti itself is well regarded as a predators enclave with all the cats on show and great diversity of overall game. Savuti itself is a small 7 tented lodge that offers intimacy unmatched in the reserve. The rooms themselves are original safari tents, raised off the ground and connected by wooden walkways (regularly destroyed by elephants) to the main communal area. Each is ensuite, and surprisingly luxurious, coming complete with views out over the waterhole infront that is the only source of water in the dry season. The camp has a thatched dining area, bar and pool facing out up both sides of the channel providing great views of the ever present resident game. The star attraction however is the camps hide. Built literally yards from the watering hole is a wooden woodpile hide that is famous for providing some of the closest elephant viewing possible anywhere in Africa. It is not uncommon at the right time of year to be surrounded by a herd, listening to them communicating amongst each other about the strange foreigner that is hiding by their watering hole, in touching distance, drinking Pimms. Savuti Camp - Our View Without any doubt one of Botswana’s most difficult lodges to actually get a room in, Savuti Camp is one of Africa’s finest small camps. Availability can be an utter nightmare so if you find space grab it, it really is as simple as that. Overall the game is superb (especially in the dry season months) and the guiding very good. The hide, particularly in August and September, when the elephant herds run through can be absolutely superb and to be honest, is a reason to book the camp in itself! Safari connoisseurs love Savuti and first timers are amazed by its charm and character. It is this feel we really love – this is a superb, authentic camp with a real safari atmosphere in all the right places…..one of the best camps around! CLICK HERE TO ENTER OUR MAIN SITE
