Savuti Camp - Our View

Without any doubt one of Botswana’s most difficult lodges to actually get a room in, Savuti Camp is one of Africa’s finest small camps. Availability can be an utter nightmare so if you find space grab it, it really is as simple as that. Overall the game is superb (especially in the dry season months) and the guiding very good.

Kings Pool - Our View

With private plunge pools, four poster beds and some the best dining in the country, Kings Pool sets the standard for Botswana’s Premier Camps. The rooms are actually more luxurious than both Mombo, Vumbura, Chiefs and Jao and for that reason we give Kings Pool the label of the most luxurious camp in Botswana and one of the most luxurious in Africa!

Lagoon Camp – Our View

The sister camp to Lebala, Lagoon camp has a slightly different focus. Located right on the border between Namibia and Botswana, the camp overlooks the small river that flows gently along the border. The game in the area is still very good and boating in specialised, double decker boats can be a welcome break from bouncing around in vehicles.

Lebala Camp – Our View

Located on the edges of a natural flood land, Lebala camp ahs slowly become reknowned for both its superb guiding and excellent location in the Kwando concession. One of the best things about using all of the Kwando camps, in our opinion, is that, with an extra spotter used on game drives, the chances of seeing everything around are that much higher.

Selinda Camp - Our View

Selinda received an upgrade fairly recently and has now been firmly imbedded into the Wilderness Safaris portfolio of Botswana lodges. There is no doubt that the camp ticks all the right boxes, in all the right places, in all the right way…….or does it? To be honest the debate still rages in the office here!

Zarafa Camp - Our View

Zarafa was once the fantastic no frills Zarafa but now the recent refurbishment of early 2008 and the new name have totally changed the camp……….in a good way! We always loved the no frills approach of ‘Zaf’ and so the private plunge pool approach took quite some getting used to.
