Duma Tau – Our View Located in the famous Linyanti Reserve DumaTau’s game is undeniably good year round with heavy populations of all the predators and good elephant herds. However DumaTau faces serious competition from Savuti Camp (same price) and the super luxurious Kings Pool (not same price!!) which without doubt are both better camps in the same reserve and also from Selinda, Zibadianja and Lebala in the adjacent Selinda and Kwando Reserves.
Overall DumaTau does offer a quality product but the other camps in the nearby reserves are even better…a real tribute to the sheer quality of the camps in this area! We would actually go as far as to say that if you put DumaTau in competition against many other camps in the country it would still come out top! So a good choice, but only if you cannot get into the others we have mentioned.

Duma Tau – The DetailWith easy access to the waterways, adventurous guides taking clients on walks and spectacular night drives a common occurrence this is the camp to explore the full range of safari that the Linyanti region offers. The 9 luxurious safari tents have thatched roofs and are all raised on wooden platforms connected by walkways to the remainder of the camp. They provide spacious seclusion from other guests with verandas looking over the lagoon in front and ensuite bathrooms and outdoor showers for those wanting to be closer to the baboons that keenly watch your every move.The lounge and bar area offer spectacular views over the lagoon and onto the plains beyond with a dramatic boma area set in the bush for pre dinner drinks around the fire. Game drives or walking safaris during the day or night are highly recommended but book in advance and Duma Tau can offer a sleep out in one of their extraordinary hides that really lets guests experience the wild side of this fantastic concession.
