Muchenje Offers its clients a truly unique wilderness experience from a stunning location. Situated on the remote, Western side of the Chobe National Park. Muchenje is the only lodge in this area and as such offers a very private and unspoilt game viewing experience.
Brilliantly run by Philip and Yvonne, Muchenje Safari Lodge accommodates just 20 guests in a wonderfully warm, homely environment. Ten thatched en suite chalets built out of natural stone, each have their own unique view out over the Chobe River. Privacy and seclusion is further added to by tastefully decorated rooms that are airy and bright with the luxury of old teak sleeper wood furniture. Guests dine together at long sleeper dining tables in a beautifully relaxed and informal atmosphere. The elegant central lodge has stunning panoramic views of the Chobe flood plains and overlooks its own water-hole, regularly frequented by all species of game. In additon there is a swimming pool built into Escarpment edge with Rock waterfall. Muchenjes fortay is their unique game experiences, the most diverse offered in Chobe; game drives depart early or late morning, afternoon and full day complete with hampers for those who want to spend all day in the bush. Game viewing by boat on the Chobe river is stunning and walking safaris explore the intricacies of the bush.
