Nxabega On the edge of the Delta, in an exclusive wildlife concession on the western border of the Moremi Wildlife Reserve lies the luxury tented camp of Nxabega. Situated near permanent channels of the Okavango Delta, Nxabega Okavango Safari Camp has ten East African-style safari tents on raised wooden platforms with private decks overlooking a vast floodplain infront of camp.
All tents have an en suite shower and W.C. and are elegantly furnished with wardrobes, luggage racks, chairs, dressing tables and bedside tables. The magnificent elevated main building is constructed in local timber, reed and thatch with sweeping views over the plains infront. The camp, run by a bunch of great characters such as Nicola the lodge manager and Effie comprises a dining room, sitting room and expansive decking areas to lounge around on, sip gin and tonics and watch game directly from camp. There is an outside dining area and a swimming pool for afternoon dips when the sun gets too strong and sun loungers for much needed siestas.

Morning, afternoon and early evening game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles, enable guests to see big game on dry land but Nxabega is very much a water camp offering boating and mekoro (dugout canoe) excursions that allow guests to observe game undisturbed from the waterways of the Delta; bird-watching is excellent.
