Savute Under Canvas – Our View As much as we would love to hate this hotel due to its size, we actually absolutely love it. Yes it is not as personal as somewhere like The River Club or Tongabezi but the location is certainly the best of any hotel in the area and the fact that you genuinely do have to flight the zebra away from getting prime position at the swimming pool, is absolutely great!
To be frank there is probably better value than staying here, especially as the hotel is on b&b and dinner is rather pricey. But the rooms are stunning, albeit slightly small, the sun deck is just superb for sunset and amongst other things, the breakfasts really are very good. In the office here, we all love it!

Savute Under Canvas – The DetailDesigned with the intention of creating some of Africa’s finest luxury camping the 6 rooms are spacious luxury mobile tents, each complete with a double bed, ensuite bathroom, separate w.c., and al fresco bucket shower (hot water delivered upon request). The guest areas comprise comfortable tents for dining, meeting for a pre-dinner drink, or just for whiling the time away between safaris with a good book and frosted beer or glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Complete with welcoming camp staff, personalised private butler service, delicious Pan African meals, and traditional bush dinners served under the stars. A normal days safari at Savute Under Canvas consists of a morning and afternoon game drive in semi-open 4x4 safari vehicles. Each client is guaranteed a window seat and therefore an uninterrupted view. The middle of the day is usually taken up by a typically fantastic CCA lunch……which usually involves wine….so a siesta is needed before the next game drive begins!
